Publishers Weekly en Español is a new magazine for the Spanish publishing trade, available in print and digital editions 26 times per year. Sixty percent of the magazine's contents are to be translated from Publishers Weekly's American edition, which publishes 51 issues per year, and 40% will be original Spanish articles and book reviews. Each issue contains 50 prepublication book reviews, which are licensed in the U.S. and elsewhere via a joint licensing arrangement between Seville, Spain-based Lantia and New York-based Publishers Weekly. "The Spanish-speaking market has not been able to enjoy such an objective reference for bookstores, libraries and publishers," said Lantia CEO Enrique Parrilla. "Now the key book buyers in the Spanish market-bookstore managers and librarians-as well as 530 million Spanish speakers, will have access to book publishing and bookselling news and reviews in Spanish."
